Charford First School

PFA News

Charford First School Parent and Friends Association is a fundraising charity run by parents and friends of the school for the benefit of the children in the school.

We hold events throughout the year which are designed to be fun for the children or their parents as well as raising funds.  We look to try a variety of events for families, or just for parents, are are aways open to new ideas.

All of this would not be possible without parents volunteering their ideas or their time and effort.  If you feel you are able to help to support the school and the children - either by helping with a particular event or by joining the PFA committee - please get in touch with the Chairperson.

All our fundraising for the 2017/18 school year will be for the 'Great Outdoors', which will include 2 outside libraries.  We ended 2017 with a fantastic Christmas Fair, raising £2,423.18!  Many thanks to all involved - especially Jo Evans who managed to organise it twice!!
Some of our children also took part in a bag packing event at Morrisons just before Christmas and raised £337.18.  This has enabled us to plan for the first outside library for Years 3 and 4.
We have lots of events planned so look out for us on social media.  As ever, we are so grateful for all of your support whether it is at events or behind the scenes.  Any help is appreciated and if you own a company, or work for a generous one and want to sponsor us, we would love to hear from you!
